The gap it fills
the act of extending hands before GoD with full acknowledgment of what-is-true — an act that is simultaneously praise AND confession, because both require the same gesture: acknowledging what is really so. Hebrew yadah (ידה — to extend the hand; to acknowledge; to give thanks; to praise; to confess) is uniquely the verb for BOTH praise (extending hands in acknowledgment of GoD's goodness) AND confession (extending hands in acknowledgment of one's own failure). Greek exomologeo (ἐξομολογέω — to fully-acknowledge-out) carries the same double: it means both "confess" and "praise" in the NT. This convergence names a profound theological insight: the act-of-full-acknowledgment-before-truth is the same act whether the truth being acknowledged is divine beauty or human failure. Both require extending hands before what-is-real and saying "yes, this is so." Yadahance names this double-gesture.
