Definition
The undifferentiated-whole-as-received-ordinance — the pre-polar unity that precedes all distinction, all act, all void-polarity. The state FROM WHICH the act of withdrawal (tzimtzumme) proceeds; the ground of the void that the act opens. Daoist wuji (無極 — "without-poles," the limitless) received as cosmic ordinance: the unity-before-distinction is gift, not self-generated.
