Definition

Emptiness-as-structural-absence-of-inherent-existence received as cosmic ordinance — the void understood not as absence (nothing is there) but as OPENNESS (nothing has fixed self-nature; therefore everything is possible). The Buddhist śūnyatā received as ordinance: the Heart Sutra's "form is emptiness, emptiness is form." Things are empty of svabhāva (inherent existence); this emptiness IS the condition-of-dependent-origination. The openness is gift.
