The slow, bodily, repetitive incorporation of what was received in the sacred encounter — the metabolization of the gift between the return and the re-opening of thirst. Named from Latin meditari (to ruminate, to chew over; same root as mederi, to heal) + Sumerian me (received- ordinance). The between-phase of the liturgical arc.
